Aluminim Wire Rod - Series 6000
The 6000 series aluminium wire rod is declared as a single product and is manufactured at the TRIMET Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne site. It is primarily intended for the manufacture of electrical conductors and cables, including applications for electrical transmission and distribution.
The product may be supplied with minor variations in chemical composition, diameter and resulting mechanical and electrical properties to meet specific customer requirements. All variants are manufactured using the same production route, equipment, energy supply and manufacturing processes.
The wire rod is available in diameters of 7.5, 9.5 and 12 mm. Variations in diameter and technical specifications do not materially affect the life-cycle inventory per declared unit of 1 tonne.
