Expanded Cross-linked Polyethylene (XPE) Insulation Pads

The declared product is a cross-linked polyethylene (XPE) compensation cushion manufactured by Europlast d.o.o. The product is intended for insulation and mechanical protection, typically for installation around underground pipelines, particularly district heating pipes, where it provides space for controlled pipe movement caused by temperature changes and external mechanical loads. Installation is carried out manually, typically by fixing the cushion around the pipe by thermal joining where required. During use, the product requires no maintenance, consumes no operational energy or water, and does not generate emissions under normal service conditions.
The compensation cushion is manufactured from chemically cross-linked closed-cell polyethylene (XPE) foam with a nominal density of 30 kg/m³. The closed-cell structure provides low water absorption, low thermal conductivity, resistance to moisture and many chemicals, and good mechanical resilience. The product remains flexible over a wide service temperature range and provides effective cushioning and load distribution. Typical material properties include a density of 30 ± 10% kg/m³, thermal conductivity of approximately 0.0385 W/(m·K), tensile strength greater than 200 kPa, operating temperatures from −80 °C to +105 °C, and a closed-cell structure with low water absorption.
