Steel plates produced via electric arc furnace in unalloyed form, thermally treated
Unalloyed thermally treated steel plates manufactured at the NLMK Italia plant in Verona via the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) route. The products are manufactured from multiple steel grades whose average alloying composition is declared in accordance with the Content Declaration reported on page 7.
Plates are available in thicknesses ranging from 20 mm to 350 mm, and are characterised by close dimensional tolerances, excellent flatness and straightness, sound surface quality, and low decarburisation depth, making them well suited for forging and machining applications. Primary steelmaking inputs include ferrous scrap, ferro-alloys, coal, graphite electrodes, fuels, oxygen, and auxiliary consumables. Scrap is melted in the EAF, refined and alloyed in the ladle furnace, and continuously cast.
The steel is subsequently subjected to thermal treatment to enhance mechanical and metallurgical performance in accordance with customer requirements.
