Polyethylene PE, Pellet (HDPE)

Polyethylene is a thermoplastic polymer of ethylene. The material is produced by gas-phase polymerization of ethylene. The main raw materials are ethylene as main-monomer and butene as the co-monomer. ETHYDCO uses ethylene of its own production from ethane/propane mixture cracking.

ADVANCENE™ EE-5001-AAH Resin is a medium molecular weight extrusion grade HDPE with hexene co-monomer. Primary applications for monofilament are fish netting, rope and fruit and vegetable packaging.

ADVANCENE™ EE-4811-AAH HDPE Resin is a high-molecular-weight HDPE copolymer specifically designed for tubular film extrusion. Its broad molecular weight distribution and optimized density deliver excellent performance at high extrusion rates while providing superior film strength and rigidity. Tubular films produced from EE-4811-AAH are recommended for:

■ High-strength grocery sacks

■ Shopping bags

■ Notion and millinery bags.

Its excellent draw-down capability also enables the production of high-quality thin films for multiwall sack liners and as replacements for thin paper products. The balance of strength and drawdown performance makes it ideal for downgauging across a wide range of applications. Films made from EE-4811-AAH are easily treated and printed, resulting in high-quality graphics. The resin is also compatible with color concentrates, allowing the production of a variety of colored films suitable for protective and decorative packaging applications. Main characteristics of this grade are high density of hexene resin, high film strength and excellent drawdown.

ADVANCENE™ EM-5204-UVH HDPE Resin is produced via advanced gas phase PE process and has been designed to provide excellent processability for molders and to meet the rigorous performance characteristics of applications requiring stackability, environmental stress crack resistance and impact strength. It is based on a hexene HDPE resin and features very narrow molecular weight distribution. Main applications include:

■ Injection-molded products, including caps, closures, pails, industrial parts, and shipping containers.

■ Cast film extrusion applications.

■ Injection-molded pails, industrial parts, and shipping containers

ADVANCENE™ EM-4925-AAH HDPE Resin is designed for use in either intermittent or continuous blow molding equipment. Key characteristics of this PE grade include outstanding environmental stress crack resistance, high impact strength, and good extrusion characteristics. Main applications include:

■ Production of containers up to 30 liters in size as this requires the combination of outstanding environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) and high impact strength.

■ High-speed production of blow molded containers used for packaging household industrial chemicals (e.g. detergents, bleach, fabric softeners), toiletries and cosmetics (e.g., shampoos, creams, lotions, etc.), and health and medical aids.

■ It can be molded into other thin-walled parts and houseware items

■ It can be extruded into profiles or sheets

ADVANCENE™ EM-5333-AAH HDPE resin is a multipurpose polymer. Key characteristics include excellent environmental stress-crack resistance and rigidity, high impact strength, moderate swell, and high melt strength. It is mainly designed for:

■ High-speed production of blow molded containers used to package household industrial chemicals (e.g. detergents, bleach, fabric softeners), toiletries and cosmetics (e.g., shampoos, creams, lotions, etc.), health and medical aids, and food products.

■ Blow molding into other thin-walled parts and houseware items and can be extruded into profiles.

ADVANCENE™ EM-4810-AAH HDPE resin is a polymer with broad molecular weight distribution and high molecular weight. Main characteristics include outstanding environmental stress crack resistance, excellent parison melt strength/low sag, good extrudability/processability and good rigidity, which contribute to uniform wall thickness in large parts. EM-4810-AAH is ideal for:

■ Blow molding containers of >80 liters closed head shipping containers and other similar parts.

■ Production of a wide variety of products, such as industrial chemicals, latex paints, printing inks, foodstuffs, adhesives and other chemical specialties may be packaged in containers produced from this resin.

■ The smooth surface of molded parts is readily treated and printed for high quality applications.
