BFRP Fiber

BFRP Fiber is a continuous basalt fibre roving produced by melting quarried basalt rock and drawing it into fine continuous filaments, which are gathered into strands and wound onto bobbins. A small quantity of sizing agent is applied during production to bind and protect the filaments and improve handling. Basalt fibre offers high tensile strength, good thermal and chemical resistance, and is non-corrosive, non-conductive and non-magnetic. It is used as a raw material/intermediate input in the manufacture of fibre-reinforced composite products, such as basalt fibre reinforced polymer (BFRP) rebar, geogrids and other composite reinforcement products for the construction and infrastructure sectors. The finished product is essentially basalt fibre, with a small percentage of sizing agent applied during production, verified on every production batch by fibre/tex and mechanical property testing.
