BFRP Straight Rebar

BFRP Straight Rebar is a composite reinforcement bar made from continuous basalt fibre impregnated with an epoxy resin system, produced by a pultrusion process. It is used as an alternative to conventional steel reinforcement in concrete structures, offering high tensile strength, corrosion resistance, and a lightweight, non-conductive, non-magnetic profile. The product is intended for use in reinforced concrete elements such as slabs, foundations, and structures exposed to corrosive or marine environments, where it can reduce maintenance requirements associated with steel corrosion. The finished rebar is manufactured to a controlled composition of approximately 75% basalt fibre, 15% organic content (epoxy resin, hardener and accelerator) and 10% sand particles by weight, verified on every production batch by fibre content analysis. The expected service life of the product is in line with the design life of the structure in which it is installed, subject to compliance with the relevant installation and design standards.
