Pre-mixed lightweight quick-drying permeable screeds

The products included in this EPD are pre-mixed lightweight permeable base layer screeds, based on hydrophobic expanded clay of intermediate grain size, supplied in bags for indoor and outdoor use. They are intended for general flooring, levelling, drainage and insulating applications in building construction.

They are composed of hydraulic binders, lightweight aggregates and selected mineral aggregates, with possible addition of additives to improve workability and performance. Depending on the product, the manufacturing process and the absence of harmful emissions make it suitable for sustainable construction as certified by ANAB-ICEA, the Italian Accreditation Institute.

The products are factory-produced with controlled composition to ensure consistent performance and are supplied as dry ready-to-use mixes requiring only the addition of water on site. In the cured state, these materials provide good compressive strength, dimensional stability, and adhesion to common construction substrates such as masonry and concrete. They are suitable for general-purpose base layer screed, levelling layers, and thermal insulating screeds. The products are classified as non-combustible with reaction to fire Euroclass A1.
