BeCold MQL lubrication and cryogenic machining auxiliary equipment
BeCold is an auxiliary industrial unit for metalworking and machining operations, designed to replace or significantly reduce conventional wet cutting fluids by combining Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) with cryogenic cooling using CO₂. The system injects CO₂ and/or an atomised micro-lubricant stream to the cutting zone (tool-chip interface), and the cryogenic circuit is specifically designed to prevent dry-ice formation inside the lines and at the point of injection. The unit can operate in MQL-only, CO₂-only, or combined modes, and is offered in different configurations (VS1/VS2) with either a stand-alone PLC/HMI “plug & play” control concept or control via the machine tool interface; it is intended especially for demanding applications such as machining heat-resistant alloys and hard steels (turning, milling, drilling), where it helps reduce tool wear and maintain surface integrity while enabling productivity gains. The product is manufactured as an assembled system integrating a metal cabinet/enclosure, pneumatic and CO₂ regulation/injection components (e.g., regulators, valves, couplings), an MQL module, and electrical/control elements (PLC/HMI where applicable), followed by functional checks and commissioning.
