ThermoWood® profiled cladding - factory coated

Millworks ThermoWood® products are sourced exclusively from certified members of the International ThermoWood Association, ensuring full compliance with the patented ThermoWood® Thermo-D treatment standards. The ThermoWood® thermal modification process is engineered to minimize environmental impact while enhancing the wood’s natural properties. It increases resistance to decay, reduces moisture absorption, and delivers superior dimensional stability, producing boards that resist cupping and cracking for long-lasting performance in a variety of climates.

ThermoWood® Pine – Versatile thermally modified timber available in a wide range of profiles, widths and finishes.

• Classified as Durability Class 2 under EN 350

• Approximate average density of 420 kg/m3

• Supplied at moisture content 5-7% for external use.

ThermoWood® Ash – Thermally modified hardwood characterised by long, clear sections of timber.

• Classified as Durability Class 1 under EN 350

• Approximate density of 557kg/m3

• Supplied at moisture content 4-6% for external use.

Selecting dimensionally stable, low-movement timber is essential to maximise the lifespan of a factory coating. Millworks recommend thermally modified timbers for their low movement and consistent quality meaning coatings stay intact and protective for extended periods, contributing to lower maintenance requirements. Millworks offers a range of factory coatings that serve both decorative and protective purposes, producing consistent results applied under controlled factory conditions.

• MillCoat® water-based wood stain is designed to enhance the timber’s natural beauty and increase UV protection. This system offers an easy maintenance programme for high performing coloured timber.

• OrganoWood® surface treatment can be factory applied for accelerated silver-grey weathering. Using patented technology that modifies wood at a molecular level, this silicone-based system provides robust protection against adverse weathering and fungal decay.
