Temperature Sensor

Temperature sensor modules measure the temperature of the water flowing through the system allowing the calculator to determine thermal energy amounts. Depending on the complexity of the system, either a 2-wired or a 4-wired sensor is chosen. The representative product module is a 2-wired 6163D0051 sensor. This module includes paired platinum resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) for measuring inlet and outlet water temperatures. The sensors provide analogue temperature values through resistance change and are designed for immersion in heating and cooling systems (waterproof grade IP68).

The temperature sensor module is part of a modular product system - a thermal energy meter consisting of a calculator unit, ultrasonic flow sensor, paired temperature sensors, a communication module, and a battery power supply. The system measures thermal energy in water-based heating and cooling installations. Part of configurable smart thermal meter.
