THRACE TG & TGX Geogrids

TG and TGX geogrids are polypropylene geosynthetic products manufactured by Thrace Nonwovens & Geosynthetics S.A. for use in civil engineering and construction applications.

The products are made from polypropylene resin and approved masterbatches, including stabilising additives such as carbon black and antioxidants. They are produced through extrusion, controlled punching or perforation, and drawing in the machine and cross-machine directions.

TG geogrids are used mainly for reinforcement and stabilization in applications such as roads, railways, earthworks, retaining structures and other geotechnical works. TGX geogrids are intended mainly for stabilization applications. The products are supplied in roll form and are manufactured at the company’s production site in Magiko, Xanthi, Greece.

The EPD covers multiple TG and TGX polypropylene geogrid products. The declared results represent the average environmental performance of the product group per declared unit of 1,000 m². The covered products have the same raw material formulation and manufacturing route and differ mainly in mass per unit area, thickness, tensile strength, aperture geometry and product style. The average declared product mass is 321.6 kg per 1,000 m².
